Can I book Funtopia for a work party, fundraiser or celebration? How much does it cost?
Yes, Funtopia can be hired by individuals, organisations and community groups. You can hire a section of Funtopia or book the whole venue for your event. The cost varies depending on the day and time of your event. Please email events@destinationplay.com.au for a quote.
How long will my event run for?
Private function bookings give you exclusive access to our facility for 3 hours. We’re also happy to accommodate longer events.
Will cleaning be taken care of by your team during and after the party?
Of course! Our team takes care of all of the party organising and cleaning so that you can sit back, have fun, and enjoy your party with your guests.
How can I book a private function?
To book a private event, please email our Events team at events@destinationplay.com.au to get the ball rolling. You may also be able to reach our Events team in venue on (08) 8164 5118.
Do I have to pay a deposit?
Yes, in order to secure your preferred date and time we require a deposit of $500, or 50% of your minimum spend if the total booking is less than $1000.
Do you serve alcohol?
Yes, we are a fully licensed venue.
What if I need to cancel my private event or function?
If you cancel your party more than 2 weeks before the event, you will be entitled to a refund of your deposit less a $100 Cancellation Fee.
If you cancel within 2 weeks of your party, your deposit will not be refunded.
When is final payment for my private function due?
We ask that you settle your account at the conclusion of your event.
Are we allowed to bring outside food and drinks into Funtopia?
No, we do not allow external food to be brought onto the premises.
How much say do I have in what we actually do when we are there? For example, could we just have the Playground and not worry about the Climbing?
As part of the consultation, these kinds of questions will be asked and considered as part of the quote. Once we've got the information we need about your event, we'll be able to give you an accurate quote. You can pick and choose from everything we have available for your event - if you can dream it, we can make it happen.
I know you have the coin operated cars, are they included in the party package?
The cars will be available for you and your guests while you are here, however they will still be coin operated. If you want to "include" this in your package, the best thing you can do at this stage would be to visit your local bank and ask them to change however much you would like to provide in $2 coins. The cars costs $2 per ride and each ride last approximately two minutes.
Can we bring our own decorations?
You sure can! We've seen some really amazing setups come through so we are all about seeing what you come up with. We have a great relationship with The Serenity Collection who have organised some pretty insane setups before so if you need support, they are a great option for you. It's important that whatever you bring into the venue, you take with you when you leave. Our venue is still likely to be open to the general public the next day so you will need to ensure that you are able to pack up effectively at the conclusion of your event.
Whats the go with heating and air conditioning?
Our main area is heated, and has an evaporative air conditioning system throughout the entire building. This can be controlled by our staff at all times and we will always cater to your needs.
