Can we attend Funtopia Prospect if we haven’t been vaccinated?
Funtopia Prospect does not have a formal Vaccination Policy which means regardless of whether you are vaccinated or not, you are more than welcome to come and hang out with us. Naturally, our COVID Safe plan is still a requirement in order to operate during the pandemic and as such, we encourage all of our guests to take responsibility for their role in keeping our venue COVID Safe.
Cleaning and Hygiene
We are always working our hardest to ensure that our venue is kept as clean and tidy as possible. The reality is, kids are messy, so we ask for the support of our customers to help us in this space. We have a self-serve cleaning station in addition to our team who are always working their hardest to clean up the mess as quickly as kids make it, but as we are sure you can appreciate, it's a tough job. For more information, please reach out to our team.
Capacity Restrictions
As of March 22nd 2022, restrictions in South Australia have been removed for indoor venues. What this means for our customers is that Funtopia is allowed to have, based on the size of the building, more than 900 people in the venue at any given time. However, in order to allow for social distancing and based on customer feedback, we limit our attendees to approximately 60% of this. This is an internal policy in response to the pandemic and we adhere very strictly to this to ensure Funtopians in the venue feel safe and comfortable.
What happens if a positive case comes to Funtopia?
Funtopia has developed a procedure to respond when it is notified that an individual who has tested positive has attended our venue. Funtopia’s response is now subject to the State’s new Testing, Tracing, Isolate and Quarantine (TTIQ) model.
What does being COVID Safe at Funtopia mean?
- Face Masks: After April 15th 2022, face masks are no longer mandatory inside indoor venues, they will only be necessary in areas such as hospitals, airports, public transport and aged care facilities.
Masks will still be available at the front counter if you feel you would like that extra level of protection.
- Social Distancing: Wherever possible, practice appropriate distancing, keeping 1.5 metres between yourself and others. More importantly, please respect the space of others who are trying to do the same. It is the responsibility of everyone to abide by the rules and to provide a safe environment which allows others to do the same. At all times, we ask that you use common sense
- Hygiene: please practice good hygiene, including hand washing, use of sanitiser provided through the venue at all entrances, and cleaning surfaces used by others before you use them. Whilst staff will be available and working towards this, the customer to staffing ratio might suggest a lag in time between something being used and being cleaned by a staff member. Cleaning materials will be made available to ensure that everyone, including customers, can work towards maintaining a clean and hygienic venue.
- Stay home if you feel unwell: Seek medical attention as required. If you develop any COVID-like symptoms, even if they are mild, you should get tested and self-isolate until the results of the test are known.
